Nigeria star Victor Osimhen is unlikely to move to the English Premier League this summer, according to leading football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has ruled out a potential switch to Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United.
The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Serie A club Napoli, is expected to leave permanently at the end of the season.
Despite reported interest from several Premier League clubs, Romano says the financial demands of the deal are proving a major stumbling block.
“Osimhen wants the same salary he earns at Napoli — €12 million net, plus commissions and his €75 million release clause,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“No English club is ready to pay him €12 million net.”
The 26-year-old was close to joining Chelsea on loan last summer, but the deal collapsed as the club opted not to exceed its wage structure.
Osimhen has been in strong form during his stint in Turkey, scoring 21 goals and providing five assists in all competitions for Galatasaray this season.
