Osimhen’s strike vs Barcelona shortlisted for Uefa Champions League Goal of the Week

Victor Osimhen’s incredible strike that earned Napoli a deserved 1-1 draw with Barcelona on Wednesday has been shortlisted as one of UEFA Champions League goal of the week award.
The Super Eagles’ striker outfit his marker in the box before placing it past Barcelona goalkeeper to help the Serie A champions share spill in the first leg of round of 16.
Robert Lewandowski had given Barca the lead few minutes after hour mark before the hosts attacked in numbers in search of the leveler.
Osimhen showed good strength to turn Inigo Martinez just inside the penalty area on an Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa through ball and fired in from 14 yards.
It was the forward’s first goal in the UEFA Champions League this season as the 25-year-old was in action for 75 minutes in the game.
Other goals nominated for the UCL goal of the week award were Lewandowski’s finish at Diego Maradona Stadium, PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen and Porto’s Gelano.
