Real Madrid make Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister a summer priority

Real Madrid are monitoring Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister ahead of the summer transfer window, with Jose Mourinho understood to be a leading supporter of a move for the Argentina international.
Liverpool are also assessing possible alternatives in midfield, according to reports from Sky Germany and ESPN.
Mac Allister, 27, is under contract at Anfield until 2028 after joining Liverpool from Brighton in 2023. However, ESPN, citing the German network, says there is currently no specific plan to extend the midfielder’s deal.
Mourinho is said to be particularly impressed by Mac Allister’s physical strength and his ability to compete in challenges. Real Madrid are closely following the player’s situation, although Liverpool are expected to reject any offer for a key member of their squad.
The report comes as Liverpool consider options to strengthen their midfield. Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha is among the players the club hold in “high regard”, although the 26-year-old is not currently a leading target.
That position could change in the future as Liverpool continue to look for midfield reinforcements. Nmecha joined Borussia Dortmund from VfL Wolfsburg in 2023 and is contracted to the German club until June 2030.
Liverpool’s shortlist also includes Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara and Bournemouth’s Alex Scott. Both players have been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in recent months.
The fixture listings associated with the clubs show Liverpool against Chelsea in the League Cup on 28 October 2026, while Racing Santander are listed against Real Madrid in La Liga on 01 November 2026.
