Remo Stars Football Club bid farewell to their promising talents, Dauda Shefiu and Marcus Ayomide, as both players secured transfers to Portuguese club CD Feirense. The undisclosed fees for their transfers were confirmed by Completesportsnigeria.com.
The departure of Shefiu and Ayomide was officially announced by Remo Stars on their website, marking a significant leap in the careers of the talented duo.
Their journey to Remo Stars began in 2016 when Shefiu joined from Kakuri Academy and Ayomide from Goodland Rangers, following an impressive display at the Pan Nigeria Youth tournament hosted by Remo Stars FC in Ijebu Ode.
Shefiu earned his senior debut for Remo Stars in a Nigeria Professional Football League clash against Kano Pillars last season, showcasing his potential and contributing to the team’s development.
Both players were part of Remo Stars’ roster for the ongoing 2018 Nigeria National League season, demonstrating their commitment and contribution to the team’s endeavors.
This move to CD Feirense marks a significant milestone for the players and for Remo Stars’ youth development system. Shefiu and Ayomide are the seventh and eighth talents nurtured by the club’s youth program to secure opportunities in Europe.
Notably, CD Feirense is chaired by Kunle Soname, who is also the owner of Remo Stars. This connection underscores the synergy between the two clubs and further emphasizes the commitment to nurturing and exporting talent to a broader international stage.
The transfers reflect the continuous growth and success of Remo Stars’ investment in nurturing young talents, providing a platform for them to showcase their skills on a global level.
