Nigerian defender Igoh Ogbu has signed a one-year contract extension with Czech champions Slavia Prague, committing his future to the club until December 2027.
The 25-year-old centre-back has been a key figure for Slavia since joining from Norwegian side Lillestrøm in 2023.
He has made 92 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and helping solidify their back line in both domestic and European competitions.
Ogbu’s consistent performances have attracted interest from several clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia.
However, he has opted to stay with Slavia, citing his commitment to the club’s project and ambition.
His form this season earned him a maiden call-up to Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, after previously representing the country at youth level, including at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
With this extension, Ogbu remains a central part of Slavia Prague’s plans as they prepare for another season of domestic defense and European competition.
