Victor Ehibe: Nigerian left-back linked with move to Admira Wacker

Nigeria defender Victor Ehibe, currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Austrian side Admira Wacker in the 2. Liga.

The 20-year-old left-back became a free agent on 1 July 2026 after leaving Slovenian club FC Koper and is understood to be attracting interest from Admira as they look to reinforce their defensive options ahead of the new campaign. Any deal would not involve a transfer fee, with Ehibe available on the open market and valued at around €50,000.

Ehibe, a right-footed left-back, has already experienced senior football in both Nigeria and Slovenia. He previously featured in the Nigeria Professional Football League with Shooting Stars, making 19 appearances and scoring once before moving to Europe in January 2025. His performances earned him a switch to Koper, including a loan spell at league rivals NK Domzale during the 2025-26 season.

The defender also has experience of European competition qualifiers, having played 90 minutes in a UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying tie, adding to his exposure at a higher competitive level at a young age.

Ehibe’s last spell at Koper came to an end at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, after which he departed as a free agent. He has not yet committed to a new club, leaving him free to negotiate directly with interested sides such as Admira Wacker.
