Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen has dismissed rumors of a potential January exit from Galatasaray, reaffirming his commitment to the Turkish club as he continues his season-long loan from Napoli.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the Super Lig champions in the summer, has been linked with a move away from Galatasaray ahead of the upcoming transfer window, but the 25-year-old was quick to clarify his stance.
Speaking to Nexus Sports, Osimhen stated: “They are talking about January. I am here until the end of the season. I don’t know what Galatasaray and Napoli are talking about after that. We will talk when they tell me. This is a club I really like.”
Osimhen’s words come as speculation continues to swirl around his future, with the Nigerian international making an immediate impact at Galatasaray. So far this season, he has scored six goals and provided three assists across all competitions, showcasing his importance to the team.
Despite the rumors linking him with a return to Napoli or a potential move elsewhere, Osimhen appears focused on his current mission with the Lions, at least for the remainder of the season.
The striker’s statement suggests he is content at Galatasaray, where he is enjoying regular first-team football, but he also remains open to discussions with both Galatasaray and his parent club, Napoli, come the end of the season.
With his stellar form this season, the former Lille forward’s future will undoubtedly remain a topic of interest, but for now, Osimhen’s priority is clear: focus on helping Galatasaray achieve success this campaign.
