Whyte Ogbonda, Olamide Adugbe talk up Rivers Angels’ chance at Sunshine Queens in Akure

Technical Adviser of Rivers Angels, Whyte Ogbonda and his striker, Olamide Adugbe have been speaking with confidence ahead of their Matchday 12 encounter against Sunshine Queens.

The Jewels of Rivers are playing guest to the Owena ladies in the continuation of Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership on Wednesday in Akure.

Ogbonda stated that his girls are prepared to get a decent result from the haven in mind how volatile the venue could be but won’t be under pressure to achieve that.

“I wouldn’t say I’m under pressure but we need to get that three points. The team is not under any pressure but our target is to get the three points so that other matches will be very easy for us.

“Knowing the way Akure fans behave, we know it won’t be an easy match but we are well prepared for them,” Ogbonda told club’s media.

Adugbe who is the club’s top scorer this campaign echoed her coach’s stance on Rivers Angels’ plan for the match expressing her desire to increase her season’s tally haven done the same in the first leg of the encounter.

“We are very ready for the match on Wednesday because we have been training very hard , so we are super ready.

“I expect to score tomorrow because I did that in our home game and hoping to do same here in Akure.”

The match is scheduled for 4pm at the Akure Township Stadium on Wednesday.
