The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has postponed Matchday 10 Premiership fixtures by three weeks.

In an NWFL statement, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the league, Modupe Shabi stated reasons for the postponement, citing match operations, and officiating.

The development means topflight matches slated for February 28, 2024, have been postponed until March 20, 2024.

“It is important that these issues are addressed and resolved as quickly as possible,” the NWFL statement read.

“We understand that it may be disappointing to have the match postponed, but we believe that this is the best course of action for the long-term success of the league.”

Nasarawa Amazons and Rivers Angels top the logs at the end of Matchday nine in the respectively groups. The Solid Miners top Group A with 17 points ahead of Heartland Queens (15 points), and Dannaz Ladies (14 points).

Rivers Angels with 18 points top Group B, two points better than Bayelsa Queens while FC Robo Queens with 15 points are in third position.
