Lafia Township Stadium and FIFA Goal Project set for President Federation Cup semis

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the venues for the 2024 President Federation Cup men’s semifinals this week.

The Lafia Township Stadium in Nasarawa State and the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja will host the highly anticipated matches.

In a circular issued in Abuja by the Federation’s Head of Competition, Ruth David, it was confirmed that both semifinals will be played on Wednesday, June 20, 2024, at 4 pm.

In an all Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) affair, Abia Warriors will face Kano Pillars at Lafia Township Stadium for a spot in the final.

Meanwhile, the newly promoted NPFL side, Elkanemi Warriors, will take on Kebbi United at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.

The winners of these semifinals will compete for the coveted trophy and secure a ticket to represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Last year’s edition of the tournament saw Insurance FC defeat Enugu Rangers by a lone goal to claim the title.
