Abia Warriors’ captain, Augustine Njoku, is confident that his side is in top form and ready to battle Remo Stars in their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash.
The “Umu Chineke” side will travel to Ikenne to face Remo Stars on Wednesday in a Matchday 21 encounter. Njoku, who leads his team into this crucial match, is determined to secure a fourth consecutive victory in the league.
Despite acknowledging the tough challenge ahead, the seasoned defender expressed optimism that Abia Warriors will give their best effort for a positive result.
“Like they say, victory begets victory, and we are now three games unbeaten, securing maximum points,” Njoku said. “We are in Ikenne to fight because that game will be a battle for the maximum points. With God on our side, we can do it.”
Njoku, who has been a consistent figure for the team, emphasized his belief in the squad’s hard work and preparation as they look to extend their unbeaten streak.
“I believe in my team, and we’ve worked so hard. I hope we get the victory,” he added, speaking to Abia Warriors media.
With their current momentum, Abia Warriors will be eager to continue their strong run as they aim to further climb the NPFL table.
