Victor Osimhen’s double not enough as Kasimpasa hold Galatasaray

By Dayo Awoniyi

Victor Osimhen’s brace was not enough to secure all three points for Galatasaray, who were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.

Osimhen, who has been in outstanding form following Mauro Icardi’s season-ending injury, put Galatasaray ahead early, scoring from the penalty spot in the 12th minute.

However, Kasimpasa mounted a strong comeback in the second half with goals from Ben and Josip, taking a 2-1 lead.

Mario Lemina leveled the score for Galatasaray in the 69th minute, and Osimhen restored their advantage just two minutes later with another clinical finish.

Yet, Kasimpasa was not done, as Hajradinovic converted a penalty to secure a share of the spoils for the visitors.

Despite the dropped points, Osimhen’s impressive performance highlights his importance to Galatasaray’s title ambitions as they battle for supremacy in the Turkish Super Lig.
