Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Plateau United have completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Jonathan Okechukwu from Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit Crown FC.
Okechukwu, who has penned a two-year deal with the Jos-based club, emerged as one of the standout performers during the NNL Super 8 playoffs in Asaba, where his commanding displays for the Ajilete Valiants drew widespread attention.
The young midfielder was instrumental in Crown FC’s campaign last season, forming a key partnership with fellow standout Wasiu Falolu.
Okechukwu’s arrival is expected to add energy and creativity to a revamped Plateau United squad as the club enters a new phase under recently appointed management and technical leadership.
The Peace Boys are in the midst of a rebuilding process and see Okechukwu as a key figure in their plans for the 2025/26 NPFL season.
