Five Nigerian players will feature in the League Phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Champions League after the final line-up was confirmed on Thursday.
The AS Roma duo of Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo booked their spots in the competition, joining three compatriots whose clubs had already secured qualification.
Roma will go into Friday’s draw in Pot 2, alongside Juventus, PSG, Real Madrid, SL Benfica, and St. Pölten, avoiding other teams that also have Super Falcons stars.

Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade and Jennifer Echegini will represent Paris Saint-Germain, while Christy Ucheibe will feature for SL Benfica.
The five players will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Asisat Oshoala, who remains the only Nigerian to have lifted the UEFA Women’s Champions League, during her successful spell with Barcelona.
She had moved to Bay FC in the United States of America and currently plays in Saudi Arabia.
The draw for the League Phase will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025.
