Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team had an intense training session on Tuesday as preparations continue for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
The session focused on set-piece routines, including corner kicks and free kicks, as well as positioning and finishing drills, as the players sharpen their attacking coordination and defensive organization.
The Flamingos will face New Zealand in a friendly match on Wednesday at the Lanuria Stadium in Mohammedia, with kick-off scheduled for 8 p.m. local time — the same time in Nigeria.
Four days later, the team will take on Paraguay in their final preparatory match before moving to Rabat, where they will begin their World Cup campaign.
Team morale remains high in camp, with reports of strong focus, energy, and positive spirit among the players and technical crew as they fine-tune tactics ahead of the tournament.
Nigeria are drawn in Group D of the World Cup, alongside Canada, France, and Samoa. The competition kicks off on October 17.
