Former Nigeria international Precious Dede has expressed her pride and excitement after being appointed the Women’s Football Development Manager for WAFU-B.

The ex-Super Falcons goalkeeper announced her reaction in an Instagram post, describing the role as a significant step both personally and for the growth of the women’s game in the West African region.

“Honoured to be appointed as the Women’s Football Development Manager for WAFU-B,” she wrote.

“Grateful for the growth, empowerment, and future in our region. New chapter unlocked. The work begins. Let’s grow the game.”

As one of Africa’s most accomplished female goalkeepers, Dede is expected to bring her wealth of experience to the position, helping to strengthen development pathways, drive grassroots initiatives, and support strategic planning for women’s football across the sub-region.

Her appointment marks another key move by WAFU-B as efforts intensify to elevate the women’s game and deepen investment in talent development.
