Paul Onuachu has expressed delight with his impressive form this season while urging Trabzonspor to stay focused in the race for the Süper Lig title.
The Nigerian striker made the remarks during an autograph session with fans at the TS Club store in Akyazı, where he reflected on what has been a standout campaign.
Onuachu currently leads the league’s scoring chart with 22 goals, six ahead of Eldor Shomurodov of Istanbul Basaksehir.
His prolific form has been key for Trabzonspor, who sit third on 63 points—just four behind leaders and reigning champions Galatasaray with six matches remaining.
“We are having a great season, both as a team and as a coaching staff. Being at the top of the goalscoring charts is very important to me. I feel very happy,” Onuachu said.
Despite his personal success, the former FC Ebedei product stressed that team objectives remain the priority.
Addressing the title race, he adopted a cautious approach, emphasizing the need to focus on results rather than talk.
“Right now, without making too many comments, we need to continue winning our matches. There’s a four-point difference, and we have matches ahead. Let’s win, and the rest will be clear,” he added.
Trabzonspor will look to maintain their momentum when they face Alanyaspor in their next league fixture on April 11.
