NBSL Round two MD two wrap: Kebbi Fishers Run Riot as Anambra Triumph on Penalties

Kebbi Fishers BSC continued their impressive form in the 2026 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Round Two with two dominant victories, while defending champions Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors secured a dramatic penalty shootout win over Jigawa Golden Stars BSC.

In Match Four, Kebbi Fishers produced a devastating attacking display to defeat Niger BSC 10-5 in a high-scoring encounter.

Taiwo Adams led the charge with four goals, while Hassan Abdullahi netted a hat-trick. Badmus Fuad and Umar Sadiqee also got on the scoresheet, while an own goal by Jamilu Haruna added to Kebbi’s tally.

Despite the defeat, Niger BSC striker Hassan Abubakar delivered an outstanding individual performance, scoring all five goals for his side and earning the Man of the Match award.

Match Five saw defending champions Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors overcome Jigawa Golden Stars BSC 4-2 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw following extra time.

Hamza Bagudu scored twice for Jigawa, while Rabiu Ali added the third goal.

Anambra relied on a brilliant hat-trick from Chizoba Iwumune, whose outstanding display earned him the Man of the Match award and helped force the game into a shootout.

The champions held their nerve from the spot to secure victory and maintain their push for a place in the Super Four.

Kebbi Fishers rounded off a remarkable day with a convincing 7-4 victory over Ibom BSC in Match Six.

Hamza Manga starred with four goals and was deservedly named Man of the Match, while Umar Sadiqee added a brace and Badmus Fuad contributed another goal.

Ibom BSC fought hard through goals from Uwana Anietie, Uyime Friday, Abdullahi Aliyu, and Aliyu Aliyu, but were unable to stop Kebbi’s relentless attack.

The results further strengthen Kebbi Fishers’ status as one of the leading contenders in this year’s title race as the battle for Super Four qualification continues in Kaduna.
