Nigeria’s senior women’s national team began preparations for their international friendly against Senegal with their first training session held yesterday.
All invited players participated in the session, which focused primarily on fitness, recovery, and light tactical exercises. The aim was to help the squad regain match sharpness after arriving from different clubs and countries across the globe.
With many players undertaking long-distance journeys to join the camp, the coaching staff carefully monitored workloads to manage fatigue and possible jet lag. The technical crew’s priority was to ensure that every player adapts quickly and reaches peak condition ahead of Friday’s encounter.
The atmosphere in camp was upbeat, as the players displayed strong commitment and enthusiasm throughout the training session. The exercise also gave the coaching team an opportunity to assess the squad and begin implementing tactical plans for the upcoming friendly.
The Super Falcons are scheduled to hold their final training session today, with a more intensive workout expected as preparations enter the decisive stage ahead of the clash with Senegal.
