Rivers Angels, Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons Advance to President Federation Cup Women’s Quarter-Finals

The race for the 2026 President Federation Cup women’s title intensified as eight teams booked their places in the quarter-finals following a thrilling round of 16 fixtures played across the country.

Holders Rivers Angels secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over Abia Angels to continue their quest for another Federation Cup crown. FC Robo Queens also progressed after edging Remo Stars Ladies 5-3 in an entertaining encounter.

Heartland Queens produced one of the most dominant displays of the round, defeating Ahudiyannem Queens 4-0, while Sunshine Queens recorded a 2-0 win over Plateau United Queens.

Confluence Queens delivered the biggest result of the round, thrashing Esthington FC 8-0 to underline their title credentials. Edo Queens also impressed with a commanding 4-0 victory over Delta Queens.

Two matches were decided via penalty shootouts after regulation time ended in draws. Ibom Angels held Bayelsa Queens to a 1-1 draw before prevailing 5-4 on penalties, while Nasarawa Amazons defeated Naija Ratels 4-3 in a shootout after a 1-1 stalemate.
