Fabian Hurzeler Excited by Yohanna Arrival as Brighton Complete Nigerian Wonderkid Signing

Fabian Hurzeler has expressed his delight following the arrival of Nigerian youngster Zadok Yohanna, describing the winger as an exciting talent capable of adding creativity and dynamism to Brighton’s attack.

The Premier League club, Brighton & Hove Albion, confirmed the signing of the 18-year-old from AIK Stockholm on a five-year contract on Saturday, securing one of Nigeria’s most promising young prospects.

Speaking after the announcement, Hurzeler highlighted Yohanna’s ability to make a difference in attacking areas and his potential to develop into an important player for the Seagulls.

“I’m looking forward to working with Zadok. Having seen his games and his attributes, he is a player that can impact games in the final third,” Hurzeler said.

The German coach acknowledged that the teenager will require time to adapt to life in England and the demands of the Premier League, but believes his qualities make him a player supporters will enjoy watching.

“He’s still young and will need time to adapt to the club and the Premier League, but he’s an exciting player to watch, and he brings the kind of creativity we know our fans will enjoy.

“He’s dynamic, has pace, and likes to take players on. His attributes and ability will be a real addition to our attacking options.”

Yohanna joins Brighton after impressing during his time with AIK Stockholm, where he established himself as one of Nigeria’s brightest emerging talents.

The move represents a major step in the young winger’s career as he prepares to test himself in one of the world’s most competitive leagues. Expectations will be high, but Brighton’s reputation for developing young players could provide the ideal environment for Yohanna to continue his growth and fulfil his considerable potential.
