A total of 29 players have reported for camp, while several foreign-based stars are yet to join the squad as they remain committed to their respective clubs.

The overseas players are expected to link up with the team during the final phase of preparations.

The Copper Queens are scheduled to depart for Algeria on 13 July for an international training camp, where they will play two friendly matches as part of their build-up before travelling to Morocco for the continental tournament.

The team’s training session took place at the University of Lusaka Silverest Campus, where preparations for the upcoming WAFCON are well underway.

Zambia will face Nigeria, Egypt, and Malawi in the group stage.
