Dele-Bashiru Boosts Gattuso Credentials with Goal in Lazio’s Pre-Season Win
Nigeria midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru continued his impressive pre-season preparations by getting on the scoresheet as Lazio cruised to a commanding 6-0 victory over Flaminia, strengthening his bid for a more prominent role under new manager Gennaro Gattuso.
The Nigerian international was named in the starting lineup and produced one of the standout performances of the opening half, capping an energetic display with a well-taken goal as the Biancocelesti stepped up preparations for the 2026/27 Serie A campaign.
Dele-Bashiru’s display comes at a crucial stage of pre-season, with players battling to impress Gattuso following the Italian tactician’s arrival at the Stadio Olimpico.
