Comfort Erhabor Hails Chiamaka Nnadozie as Role Model as Super Falcons Arrive in Rabat for WAFCON

New Nigeria’s senior women’s national team goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has described Super Falcons first-choice goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, as one of her biggest football inspirations after the team arrived in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Speaking in an interview shared by the Super Falcons media team, the 21-year-old Portsmouth shot stopper revealed that Nnadozie has had a significant influence on her development, alongside German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

“I have two role models in football,” Erhabor said. “One I really used to look up to was Manuel Neuer, and then Chiamaka Nnadozie as well.”

Erhabor, who was born in the Netherlands and was eligible to represent the Dutch national team, admitted she felt both honoured and nervous after receiving her maiden invitation to the Nigerian senior women’s team.

“It’s an honour to get the call-up. I was a bit nervous because I didn’t know what to expect, but I’m also excited’s football. Being able to train with her and learn from her is really to embrace the experience,” she said.

The young goalkeeper added that training alongside Nnadozie has been a dream come true.

“It feels unreal because she’s one of the people I admire the most in women’s football. Being able to train with her and learn from her is really special,” Erhabor added.

Meanwhile, the Super Falcons have arrived in Rabat in style ahead of the aiming to reclaim the continental title and will begin their Group C campaign against tournament debutants Malawi on Tuesday, July 28. 2026 WAFCON, where they will play all their Group C matches in the Moroccan capital.

With a blend of experienced stars and emerging talents such as Erhabor, the Super Falcons head into the tournament among the favourites to lift the coveted WAFCON trophy once again.
