NPFL Matchday six wrap: Ikorodu City stun holders, Rangers

Ikorodu City secured a commanding 2-0 victory over Rangers International as the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 6 fixtures produced a series of decisive results across the country.

Aderemi Adeoye put Ikorodu City ahead in the eighth minute before Ikechukwu Junior sealed the victory with a second goal in the 63rd minute.

Abia Warriors were among the biggest winners of the matchday, cruising to a 3-0 victory over Bendel Insurance. Ikoi Etta opened the scoring in the 16th minute, while Emeka Obioma struck twice in the 24th and 40th minutes.

Plateau United also impressed, defeating Inter Lagos 2-0 through second-half goals from Gideon Monday and Jibrin Ibrahim.

Katsina United edged Doma United 2-1, while Nasarawa United, Kun Khalifat and Wolves all recorded narrow 1-0 victories.

Kano Pillars and Enyimba, meanwhile, played out a goalless draw.
