Rivers United extend unbeaten NPFL run with goalless draw against Ranchers Bees

Rivers United preserved their unbeaten start to the Nigeria Premier Football League season after being held to a 0-0 draw by Ranchers Bees at Kano’s Sani Abacha Stadium on Monday.

The matchday six encounter produced chances for both teams, but neither side was able to find the finishing touch required to claim all three points.

The result extended Rivers United’s unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League. Finidi George’s side have now recorded three wins and two draws from five matches, while still having a game in hand.

The Port Harcourt-based club moved up to second place in the NPFL table with 11 points despite being unable to maintain their winning form.

Rivers United will have the opportunity to return to winning ways when they travel to face Katsina United in their next fixture.

For Ranchers Bees, the point lifted them from 15th to 11th in the standings.

Their next assignment will take them to Ilorin, where they will face Kwara United.
