Real Madrid linked with Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha

English-Nigerian winger Rio Ngumoha is being linked with a move from Liverpool to Real Madrid, with the 18-year-old currently under contract at Anfield until June 2028.

Ngumoha joined Liverpool’s senior squad in July 2025 after moving from Chelsea’s academy to Liverpool Under-18s the previous season. He has since made five Premier League appearances during the 2026-27 campaign, as well as three Champions League appearances in which he has provided two assists.

The left winger has also started Liverpool’s only EFL Cup match this season, but has yet to score in senior competition during the current campaign. His market value is listed at €50m.

Ngumoha’s contract means Liverpool are not facing an immediate risk of losing him on a free transfer. The teenager’s current involvement includes appearances in domestic and European competition, with his Champions League minutes accounting for a significant part of his early-season first-team role.

A move to Real Madrid would take Ngumoha from the Premier League to LaLiga, although there is no indication of an agreed transfer or confirmed negotiations. For now, he remains a Liverpool player with two years left on his existing deal.
