UCL: Victor Osimhen makes goalscoring return as Napoli secure next round berth

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen returned to action for his club side, Napoli and went straight to usual act, goal scoring.
The lanky Super Falcons forward, who has been out injured since early September was a second half substitute for Napoli as they brushed aside Ajax 4-2 in the Matchday 4 of UEFA Champions League in Naples.
Napoli who came into the match with sight on claiming match points which will secure their place in the knockout stages of the competition. The made their intention known with first half dominance scoring two goals in the opening 16 minutes through Hirving Lozarno and Giacomo Raspadori.
Ajax grew into the game in the early parts of second half and pulled one back through Davy Klaaaseen’s classical header from another Nigerian, Calvin Bassey.
Just as the visitors were finding their rhythm and looking to complete their comeback, Napoli restored their two goal cushion when Jurien Timber was adjudged to have handled Tanquay Ndombele’s shot in the box. Georgian Kvichia Kvaratskeheila stepped forward and converted.
Ajax would soon have the penalty of their own with few minutes left to the game as Steven Bergvwin converted making the scoreline 3-2.
There would be room for one more goal in the pulsating encounter at the Naples as Osimhem who is making return to action since September 7th came in earlier in the second half and compounded Ajax’s woes by ending his goal drought since August with the late goal.
That was Osimhen’s first UCL goal of the current season and third in all competitions.  Napoli now have 12 points haven recorded hundred percent successes in this season’s competition as well as securing a place in the next round with two games to spare.
