GFA President Re-elected as WAFU ZONE B President

As earlier reported, the President of the Ghana Soccer Affiliation(GFA), Kurt Okraku, ran unopposed and has been re-elected because the President of the West Africa Soccer Union (WAFU) at an Elective Congress held in Ivory Coast on Saturday October 15, 2022.
The previous Government Chairman of Goals would lead the WAFU for 4 years till 2026.
For his efficiency after serving a two-year time period, no different candidate filed nomination to contest Mr. Okraku to guide the sub-regional physique.
The previous sports activities journalist now will get a four-year time period, having succeeded Djibrilla Hima Hamidou of Niger, who stepped down in Might 2021.
Col Kossi Akpovy of Togo was elected the first Vice President, while Lazare Bansse of Burkina Faso would function the 2nd Vice President.
The election was held in the course of the fifteenth Common Meeting of WAFU. It noticed Federation Presidents, CAF Executives, Common Secretaries of the seven associations within the sub-region and different dignitaries.
