Top NPFL clubs in chase of 100 million prize money at Tingo Media Tournament

Notable Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL sides like Enyimba, Rangers, Shooting Stars and Insurance are set for 100 million prize money at the four-team tournament tagged Tingo Media Tournament.
The preseason tourney billed for Lagos State is expected to take place between December 1at and 4th, 2022.
Organizers disclosed on Thursday that w whopping N100 million prize money at stake at the event.
Head of Operations of Interim Management Committee, IMC, Davidson Owumi, told newsmen that the tournament is a dress rehearsal to the 2022/23 NPFL season.
“This is a tip of the iceberg of what the IMC has in store for Nigerians in the league in the coming season,” Owumi told media.
“The tournament is the first of its kind in Nigeria and the four teams will play out for the big money in Lagos.
“I’m happy because the IMC has been able to put the tournament together and this is a prelude of what will happen when the league eventually begins.
“Everything has been put in place and Nigerians will see the best of everything in this tournament. “We are working in tandem with the organisers to ensure everything is in place to make the tournament a good one,” said Owumi.
The tournament, sponsored by Tingo Media, will hold at the Mobolaji Sports Complex in Lagos. 10 million naira has been set aside as appearance fee for Enyimba, Rangers, 3SC and Insurance in the four-day tournament.
