Awoniyi and Dennis fire blank as Manchester United sink Nottingham Forest

Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis failed to rescue Nottingham Forest from suffering a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on Tuesday night.
In the keenly contested affair at Old Trafford, the Red Devils secured victory Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Fred getting the goals.
The hosts took the lead after 19 minutes, in superb fashion, with Rashford notching his 10th goal of the season. The striker was cleverly picked out by Christian Eriksen from a corner-kick, with the forward curling the ball across Hennessey and into the back of the net.
Just moments later, United doubled the lead with Erik Ten Hag’s men’s all-round play a sight to behold.
Casemiro’s wonderful tackle began the move, as United broke forward on the counter attack. Rashford then turned provider, laying the ball into the path of Martial, who duly fired home our second of the evening.
Despite Awoniyi getting a starter’s role, the Nigeria international was unable to reduce the deficit for the Reds as he missed a couple of chances.
Two minutes after the hour mark, he was subbed off for Sam Surridge while his compatriot Dennis came in for Orel Mangala a minute later.
Fresh off this victory, Manchester United head to Wolves on Saturday whilst Forest welcome Chelsea to the City Ground on Sunday.
