Ligue 1: Terem Moffi opens Nice account with brace in win over Monaco

Nigerian striker, Terem Moffi scored twice to help Nice recorded a massive 3-0 win against Monaco in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.
Moffi was at the heart of the game, scoring his brace in the opening half hour of the match at the Stade Municipal.
His first came just inside eight minutes of the match thanks to a 50 yard pass from Dante falling perfectly on his toe and the bulky Nigerian forward wasted no time before firing past Monaco keeper.
The second breakthrough for Nice and for Moffi saw Khéphren Thuram’s lofted pass meeting Nigerian forward in a vantage position and allowed him to finish with aplomb.
Moffi would then returned the favor for Thuram with the third goal of the night for Nice as his pass to France U21 forward was converted to put the game beyond the reach of Monaco on Thursday.
Monaco did came out stronger in the second half but still looked more of a struggling side as they fluffed few created chances.
With his brace, Moffi taken his season’s goal tally to 14, the victory has also stretched Nice’s unbeaten to eight under new manager, Didier Digard.
