Olanrewaju Kayode: Nigerian striker’s late goal rescues Umraniyespor from defeat

Nigerian striker Olanrewaju Kayode came off the bench to score a stoppage time goal rescued Umraniyespor from home loss for a 1-1 against Adana Dermispor in the Turkish Super Lig clash on Sunday.
The started in a cagey affairs as both sides could not find the cutting edge for the entire first half at the Umraniye Stadium in Istanbul.
However, Adana Demirspor who had two Nigerians -Henry Onyekuru and David Akintola – in their fold were the first to break the deadlock with 11 minutes to go when Senegalese Badou Ndiaye latched onto a lose ball from edge of the box.
Umraniyespor coach beckoned on Kayode with six minutes to end the game to help find the answer to the missing chances for the hosts.
The former Manchester City signing went on to scored the equalizer for his side with last touch of the match.
The result could not move the hosts from present status on the log but may have raised their hopes of beating the drop in the Turkish top-flight.
