Huge boost for Nigeria as Leicester announce returning date for Kelechi Iheanacho

Manager of Leicester City, Dean Smith has revealed that Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho will be in action within a week.

Iheanacho sustained a muscle injury during Foxes’ clash with fellow strugglers, Leeds United which caused a big blow for Leicester as they battle to beat the drop from English Premier League.

In a news conference ahead his side’s clash with Liverpool this on Saturday, the manager believes the return of Nigerian international would help his side fight well to remain in the English top flight.

“Hopefully he’s due to training earlier next week rather than later. We thought he’d only have a build-up of two days before the Newcastle game, but he’s ahead of schedule, which is pleasing for us,” Smith told the club website.

Leicester City are 18th on the log after their last match where they lost 5-3 to Fulham.
