Nigeria’s foes and co-host Australia name provisional squad for Women’s World Cup

2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup co-host and Nigeria group opponents, Australia women’s national team has released its provisional squad for this summer’s Mundial.
Tony Gustavsson’s provisional list is made up of 29 players, with Chelsea star, Sam Kerr headlining the squad.
The England based star is expected to make the final list after an impressive season with the Blues where she helped her side win the league and Cup double.
Other key players in the squad include Ellie Carpenter, Caitlin Foord, Hayley Raso, and Kyah Simon.
The Asian side by Confederation will face the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup host, France on July 14 before its first group game at the World Cup.
The Aussies will open its campaign against Northern Ireland on July 20 in Group B before facing Nigeria seven days later.
A clash with Olympic Champions will wrap up the group stage for the Matildas.
