Nigeria international Peter Olayinka netted a goal to help his new team Red Star Belgrade defeat Turkish club Fenerbahçe 3-1 in the PARI Premier Cup final.
The 27-year-old joined on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract from fellow Serbian side Slavia.
The Super Eagles star begins life to his three-year contract as he opened the scoring barely one minute from the kick off.
Olayinka met a Klings Kangwa’s pass with a beautiful one touch shot inside the box that left the goalkeeper helpless.
His first touch led to his goal for the club and also his first title to begin life in his new home.
Mirko Ivanic doubled the lead in the 39th minute as Belgrade took the half time lead comfortably.
Joao Pedro reduced the deficit on the 79 minutes but Vladimir Lucic ensures to restore the two goals lead just three minutes later. Things went from bad to worse for Fernabache who are reduced to ten men just three minutes later.
