NNL set up committee to review framework, club licensing, sponsorship drive

The Nigeria National League, NNL board has approved the composition of committees to review the framework guiding the league, club licensing modulation in a quest to a better and admirable league.

The five man committees were set up on Wednesday during the league’s inaugural meeting in Abuja and George Aluo led NNL board also charged members to commence sponsorship drive to secure credible sponsors for the league.

In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, the board appreciated the leadership of Nigeria (Football) Referees Association, NRA for their continuous collaboration despite limited funds with an assurance to further solidify the synergy to proffer solutions to improve officiating in the League.

While resolving to work assiduously to improve the standard of the League beginning from the new season, the NNL agreed that only stadium that meets required facilities criteria will be approved for the 2023/2024 League season.

Other issues resolved was the approval of the immediate reconstruction of NNL website and registration portal, engagement of a financial consultant for the league.
