Nigeria forward Chidera Ejuke enjoys Royal Antwerp cameo debut

Nigeria international Chidera Ejuke helped Royal Antwerp bounce back to winning ways as they thrashed Kortrijk 6-0 in the Belgian Pro League at the Bosuilstadion Stadium.
Royal Antwerp were smarting from a 1-0 loss against Anderlecht at Lotto Park a week ago. Van Bommel’s men return home, where they are undefeated in six consecutive matches, claiming five wins and one draw since March’s 1-0 loss to Sporting Charleroi.
The national champions had no mercy on the West Flemish as the raced 4-0 lead before 45 minutes.
After ten minutes of play, Janssen opened the score by shooting the ball hard into the goal from a low cross.
Janssen recorded his hattrick after netting another in the 26th and 58th minute. An unfortunate action saw Martin Wasinski net an own goal in the 22nd minute before Gyrano Kerk at 44′ and Arbnor Muja at 67 ‘ put their names on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile Super Eagles forward Chidera Ejuke came off the bench to debut for Antwerp in their commanding 6-0 win over Kortrijk.
Alhassan Yusuf and George Ilenikhena also featured as second-half substitutes for the reigning champions.
With this result, Royal Antwerp is in second place with 6 points to three behind the leader, Union Saint-Gilloise.
