‘She has the potential to score goals’ – FSU Coach extols Jennifer Echegini’s qualities

Head Coach of Florida State University, FSU women’s soccer team, Brian Pensky has expressed delight with Onyinyechi Echegini for delivering positive performances in her new attacking roles.
The Super Falcons’ midfielder who is one of senior players in the team has been instrumental to the team’s recent successes after being drafted to a more advance role.
Echegini has found back of the net three times in two games for FSU and her last goal was on Thursday in their 3-2 comeback win over Pittsburgh University.
Pensky who described the diminutive midfielder as an exceptional player said Echegini still has a lot to offer.
“We probably played her more minutes than we would’ve liked to, but we didn’t feel like we wanted to take her off the field,” Pensky told media.
“We always feel like she has the potential to score a goal. We tell her that she’s best when she’s close to the goal.
“She played up top last week, scored twice, and tonight she played up top and scored once.
“I think it was a special moment for her given the fact that it was against her coach.”
