AFCON 2023: Angola coach praises Osimhen, Lookman ahead of quarterfinal clash

Head coach of the Angola National team Pedro Golcaves has heaped praises on Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman ahead of the quaterfinal clash with Nigeria on Friday.
The Flying Antelopes will face Nigeria in the quarter-finals on Friday, 2nd February, at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny, Abidjan.
The Super Eagles defeated Cameroon 2-0 while Angola defeated Namibia 3-0 to book a date with each other for a spot in the tournament’s semis.
However, the 47-year-old missed no opportunity to appreciate the prowess of his opponent.
“I myself, in the FIFA votes, also voted for him (Osimhen) as one of the best players in the world,” Golcaves told media.
“So we will play against a selection equipped with players with a lot of talent, who have tremendous, jaw-dropping playing capacity, a lot of speed, especially derived from the two forwards, Osimhen and Lookman, who, in fact, add great vertigo to the game.
“On the other hand, he (Peseiro) has played with three very robust central defenders who are extremely adapted.”
