Moses Simon has shared his tall dream for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
With eleven appearances in the competition, Simon is a force in the Nigerian squad, although he currently ranks behind Samuel Chukwueze of AC Milan in the right winger position under manager Jose Peseiro.

The Nantes winger was named the Man of the Match for Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau as they secured their spot in the last 16.

Nigeria is on a solid trajectory at the tournament after opening group with a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea followed by consecutive 1-0 wins against Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau.
The three-time champions aspire to add another final appearance and Simon believes in the collective spirit and ambition of the team to achieve this aim.
“Of course it makes me feel good. I’m really happy for the team, I am happy for the group,” he told Allnigeriasoccer.
“The important thing is that we work together. My personal aim? My target is to work hard and see if we can reach the final.”
The Super Eagles winger is aspiring to lead the team to the grand finale at Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on February 11, 2024.
