Al Merrikh terminates Ojo Olorunleke’s contract

Sudanese side Al Merrikh has terminated the contract of Nigeria goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke.

Olorunleke joined the Sudanese side from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) outfit, Enyimba FC.

In 2024, he signed a two-year deal with Al Merrikh, but the club has terminated his contract and is set to replace him.

Reports have it that he is set to be replaced by a Tunisian goalkeeper.

The 29-year-old save hands played for Giwa FC, Akwa United, Sunshine Stars, and Enyimba FC before moving to Sudan.

He was a member of the Nigerian side at the last Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as the team won a silver medal in Cote d’Ivoire last year.

As a free agent, Olorunleke is expected to join another team or possibly return to the NPFL.
