Arsenal boss Arteta raises concern over Bukayo Saka injury after Bayern draw

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heightened concern over Bukayo Saka’s injury after the forward was forced off in the opening minutes of Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the third round of the Champions League league phase.

Saka left the pitch in visible discomfort after appearing to suffer significant pain. As he made his way off, he briefly spoke to Arteta and appeared to point towards his thigh.

The injury was a major setback for Arsenal, with Arteta later acknowledging that the club’s medical team was worried about the England international.

“They are a little concerned,” Arteta told reporters after the match, referring to the medical staff.

Exclusive footage published by the newspaper showed Saka limping as he left Allianz Arena. Although he appeared upset, he was able to walk without assistance and was not using crutches.
