Asisat Oshoala trolls Chelsea over Osimhen’s transfer saga
By Monsurah Olatunji
Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala has made headlines with a pointed critique of Chelsea’s handling of Victor Osimhen’s transfer situation.
According to reports, Chelsea offered Osimhen a loan move with significantly reduced wages, a proposal that failed to secure his agreement despite intensive negotiations.
Chelsea’s decision to withdraw from the pursuit left Oshoala, the reigning CAF Women’s Player of the Year, visibly dismayed.
In a now-deleted post on X, she expressed her disapproval, stating, “If you hear what your club offered @victorosimhen9, even you would curse them.”
Osimhen has since finalized a season-long loan deal with Galatasaray, indicating that other clubs were prepared to meet his demands more effectively.
Oshoala’s reaction highlights the high expectations players have regarding contract negotiations and reflects the broader frustrations players can face in the transfer market.
