Odion Ighalo throws weight behind Osimhen over transfer controversies

Former Nigeria international, Odion Ighalo has lashed out at critics for making jest of Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen botched transfer move away from Italy.

The Super Eagles striker couldn’t secure a move away from Italy after falling down with the management over his intention to depart the Partenopei this summer which failed to materialize.

Ighalo was disappointed with trolls who criticized Osimhen unjustly over the failed transfer move despite top clubs showing interest in his signature.

He narrated how the Napoli goal poacher was devastated over the criticism from Nigerians. While he’s optimistic the 25 year old striker will retain his top form.

“But seeing comments about this young man from his own country people makes me really sad, without even knowing what happened,” Ighalo posted on X.

“I spoke to him and I can feel the pain in his voice, the way he’s been treated, this young man play with heart and pains for his country.

“Hmmm it’s well, he will definitely be back stronger, we learn everyday in life.”
