Blessing Nkor joins Deportivo La Coruna

Nigeria international, Blessing Nkor has joined the Spanish women’s top flight, Deportivo La Coruna.

The 21-year-old player last featured for the Egyptian side Pyramids FC, before switching to the Spanish Liga F.

The move is the biggest of her career after experience in Tanzania, Turkey, and Egypt.

She played for Ibom Angels and Sunshine Queens in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership before moving to Tanzania.

In Tanzania, she joined Yanga Princess, from where she moved to Asya, a Gaziantep-based Club in Turkey.

Nkor had her debut appearance for the Nigeria senior women’s national team during the Super Falcons’ 2-1 loss to France in an international friendly match in
2024.

She joined a long list of Nigerian players in Spain, including Rasheedat Ajibade (Atletico Madrid), Edna Imade (Granada), Gift Monday, and Rinsola Babajide (Costa Adeje Tenerife), amongst others.
