Debut delight assist for Ezekiel Motunrayo in Valencia’s draw with Deportivo

Nigeria forward, Ezekiel Motunrayo played her first ever match for Spanish women’s Liga F side, Valencia as she provided an assist during a 1-1 draw with Deportivo La in a league clash on Saturday.

Deportivo La Coruna opened scoring in the 14th minute as Ainhoa Marin Martin converted a long range attempt into the back of the net at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor, La Coruna.

Motunrayo who was introduced in the second half passed to Emma Martin in the 85th minute before the latter scored another long range goal.

The former Naija Ratels player joined Valencia this week and was brought into the matchday 17 game in the 84th minute.

It took her a minute to have an impact after replacing Marta Mascarell.

Motunrayo’s compatriot, Blessing Nkor was not dressed for the game by Deportivo.

Valencia occupy the 16th position on the league table which is the bottom place with seven points after 17 games.

They will face Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide’s Costa Adeje Tenerife on February 9, 2025.

Deportivo La Coruna on the other hand seats in the 13th position with 16 points ahead of their next clash with Real Sociedad on February 8.
