Chukwuma Eze joins Villarreal CF B from Real Oviedo on loan

Nigerian centre-back Chukwuma Eze has joined Villarreal CF B from Real Oviedo on loan, completing a move between two Spanish clubs.

The 22-year-old defender leaves Real Oviedo, who compete in LaLiga2, to join Villarreal’s reserve side in Primera Federacion – Gr. II. Eze’s switch keeps him in Spain while moving him into a different level of the country’s professional league structure.

Eze’s preferred position is centre-back, placing him in the defensive group at Villarreal CF B. His arrival gives the club another senior option in central defence as the team begins its campaign in the third tier of Spanish football.

The move also represents the next stage of Eze’s time at Real Oviedo. He departs the LaLiga2 club after being registered there and now continues his career with Villarreal CF B under a loan agreement.

Born in Nigeria, Eze brings his nationality and defensive role to a Villarreal setup that includes the club’s reserve team in the Primera Federacion. The transfer was completed on 17 August 2026.

No permanent transfer fee has been given for the deal. Eze’s recorded market value is €50,000, although that figure does not represent the terms of the loan agreement between the clubs.

The change of club sees Eze move from Real Oviedo’s LaLiga2 environment to Villarreal CF B’s Primera Federacion division, with the 22-year-old centre-back remaining in Spanish football.
