Assistant Coach of Enyimba FC, Yemi Olanrewaju says his side were made to labour for their victory against Lobi Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League clash on Sunday.
Captain Somiari Alalibo scored the decisive goal late in the second half to hand the People’s Elephants the needed victory against Lobi Stars.
Olanrewaju who tinkered the match in the absence of his superior, George Finidi who was on national assignment described the match as very difficult but attributed his team’s intense preparations made the difference.
“We already prepared for the game as we know Lobi Stars as a very decent side,” the former Vandresser handler told media.
“We knew initially that it was going to be a tough battle with the visitors. But we are Enyimba, we don’t give up, the players know how important we needed a victory and give kudos to them for making it happen.”
Enyimba moved up to 16th position on the table with 10 points from seven games and will be hosting Insurance FC in one of their outstanding games on Wednesday.
