Erasmus Onuh tips Abia Warriors to win 2024 President Federation Cup title

Former Technical Adviser of Abia Warriors, Erasmus Onuh, has confidently predicted that his former club is poised to win the 2024 President Federation Cup trophy.
Abia Warriors is set to face Elkanemi Warriors in the final scheduled at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Saturday.
Abia Warriors advanced to the final after defeating Kano Pillars in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw in regulation time.
Onuh, who departed from his role at Abia Warriors midway through the season and was subsequently replaced by Bethel Orji, expressed his belief in the team’s ability to clinch the trophy.
“I have no doubt that Abia Warriors will emerge as the winners of this year’s Federation Cup because they possess the quality, character, and discipline to defeat their opponents in the final,” Onuh asserted.
He further highlighted his confidence based on his recruitment of the players during his tenure, emphasizing their potential and capabilities.
“The players I signed for the team were future stars, not just for the present. Despite some doubts about our abilities, I firmly believe in their talent,” Onuh remarked.
Reflecting on his tenure and the team’s development, Onuh pointed out the efficient utilization of resources despite budgetary constraints compared to other clubs.
“I recruited players at minimal costs and transformed them into a winning team within a short period. Unfortunately, my efforts were not fully appreciated,” he lamented.
As Abia Warriors prepares for the final, Onuh’s endorsement adds to the anticipation surrounding the team’s quest to clinch the prestigious Federation Cup trophy.
